Are the keys velocity sensitive? Can midi make sound after powering up?

Yes, the keybed on our Donner DMK25 Pro midi controller is velocity sensitive! MIDI keyboards need DAW software to sound,they don’t sound alone.

Is it compatible with garage band on ipad?

Yes, our midi keyboard can compatible with garage band on ipad.

Do the keys press smooth? Are the keys actually “semi-weighted” or “like semi-weighted” synth keys?

Not weighted, but these keys are much better than the cheap non-weighted keyboards. More control here on Donner DMK 25 Pro midi keybord without a doubt.
